Once an important and prosperous city, Lindos is ancient Greece to a tee. As you approach Lindos, there's no mistaking the mountaintop fortress of the Acropolis, perched more than 120 metres above the sea. It crowns a headland whose slopes are covered in trees the whitewashed homes of the village.
