Discover the old and modern side of Luxor on foot, together with a local guide at your disposal. This experience is part of Iconic Insiders, a selection of tours designed for first-time visitors to uncover what matters and get oriented in a new city. To start the tour, meet your guide in front of the Winter Palace Hotel before sunset, by getting on the blue minivan (a popular means of transportation for locals). Then, start walking for about 10 minutes to reach Luxor Temple, which is illuminated in the evening reflexing an amazing impression and fascination. Your visit takes around one hour, then walking back for about 20 minutes to be surprised with an Egyptian dinner at Iberotel Luxor that is located on the banks of the Nile. Enjoy some of the most famous food like kofta, kebab with a green salad and white salad.
After the Egyptian-themed dinner, you will walk through the old city streets and can try local shisha cafes, tea houses, or souk. Then, you will return to your hotel however you prefer the way you like, either by taxi, public minivan, horse carriage, or on foot if your hotel is not far.
