Sitting in the Saadiyat Cultural District in Abu Dhabi, the Natural History Museum, which opened in 2025, takes you on a seriously cool journey across 13.8 billion years of natural history, right from the Big Bang and all the way into the future. As you wander through the galleries, you’ll explore immersive exhibits on the evolution of life, biodiversity, the natural wonders of the Arabian Peninsula and so much more. You’ll also come face-to-face with Stan – a world-famous t-rex skeleton – and even see the Murchison Meteorite up close – it’s older than Earth itself.

Spanning over 35,000 square metres, it’s set to be the largest natural history institution in the Middle East. It’s not just a place to stroll around either, as it also doubles as a major scientific research hub, which means there’s lots of work going on behind the scenes and always something new to discover. The museum also has cafes and family-friendly spaces where you can take a breather, plus a shop packed with science-themed goodies. This place is perfect for curious minds of all ages.
